If that isn’t enough party for you, we’ve put together something special for you, Lexington, and its going down all day Saturday (April 18). Our good friends over at ONENESS PREMIUM have teamed up with The US Band, Marcus McFly, and myself to bring you an IN-STORE event, complete with a huge blowout sale (up to 50% OFF!!!) on all gear, as well as some complimentary drinks and all that good stuff. For all of you who can’t get into the clubs: this is your chance to grab some hip threads on the cheap and catch some good music for free…for all of you who are sick of being in clubs: enjoy the fresh air. Sale lasts all day, music starts about 7ish and goes until about 1am. SEE YOU THERE.

Wow. A lot has been happening so far this year and I’m not afraid to say that I’m a little overwhelmed. Lots of kick-ass stuff on the way. For now, follow me on Twitter and bookmark SoirĂ©e Entertainment, more news to follow.
where did spring go?
Yeah, so the title of my last post might be slightly misleading if you live anywhere near central Kentucky. I woke up this morning to about 2 inches of snow on the ground, just yesterday it was in the 70s and sunny. I was on laying-in-the-grass-picnic status, now I’m on burrrrrrrrrrr status. Get outta town cold weather.
So, anyway…the weekend was a blast. It has taken me until now to recover. Lower 48 was an absolute smash Friday night. Just when I thought things around this slow town couldn’t have gotten any better, Beaux Arts Ball proved me wrong. Here are some pics I gathered from various sources. See you next time.

spring is in the air
I suck at updating this blog so here is an attempt to fix that, at least for the time being. Before you continue reading, I’d like to note that this post includes nothing other than news. No free mp3s, no cheesy videos, and no candid photos of your favorite celebrities making out on the beach. Sorry. Now that we’ve got that out of the way:
Most of you know I’ve been holding down a weekly event on Wednesday nights in Lexington for almost a year, that is now over. I’ll be handing my spot over to a few other people in hopes they will keep it alive. Thanks to all of you who attended and made it happen, especially those of you who came out nearly every week. You guys made the party. For updates check out www.lower48bar.com.
As for future events, here is the scoop. I’ve been meeting with a group of local artists / musicians / etc to try to bring Lexington something new, exciting, fun, entertaining, et al. There have been lots of ideas flowing so far, but we would also like to hear what you have to say. This is your chance to tell us what you want to see happen! Please send any ideas / questions / comments to brocktologist@gmail.com. In the meantime, go check out Oneness @ 287 S Limestone, attend a US Band or Devine Carama show.
And now on to the good stuff. I’ve got two big shows coming up in April, back to back: APRIL 3 w/ AC Slater, Marcus McFly, and James Midik @ Lower 48 -and- APRIL 4 w/ Flosstradamus, Eliot Lipp, John the Baptist, DJ Bek, Bitch Please, and others @ The Beaux Art’s Ball. Check the flyers below, hope to see you guys out.

That should do for now. Back to the real world.

I figured I’d write this note for everyone on my list who has a taste for real fashion and as a result can’t stand shopping in Kentucky (or wherever else real couture is non-existent). Basically here is the deal, this company buys fashion at wholesale / sample prices and they turn around a sell it to their company’s members for super cheap. Each sale only lasts for a certain amount of time and you will be notified when each starts through email. You need an invite to join (you can follow the link I’ve posted below). Signing up requires nothing other than an email address. Once you’re in you can browse everything currently available as well as what is on the way. If you have any questions just send me a message.
Just fyi the current sales going on are Kate Spade, Oscar de la Renta, Amrita Singh, Benjamin Bixby, Cavalli, and a few others. Recent sales I’ve seen lately were Marc Jacobs, 7 For All Mankind, Michael Kors, Marchesa, Tim Hamilton, Ted Baker, Trovata, Steven Allen, Habitual Jeans, AG Jeans, Pine Cone Hill, Lulu DK Matouk, Natori, Y-3, and the list goes on. Pretty much something for everyone. I’ve added a few photos below just as an example of whats currently available.
